Just as recent blockbusters from Mary J. Blige demonstrate her longevity as an R&B icon, the compilation of hits on Reflections - A Retrospective reminds us of how she got there. The collection isn't just a grab bag, though; while nine of the 15 tracks are former singles, many are carefully retouched.

"Reflections (A Retrospective)" is a beautiful compilation that shows how talented and influential Mary J. Blige has been all these years. Great artist: a very strong voice and good r&b songs. "No More Drama", "Be Without You" or "" are even exceptional! She is one of the few r&b artists that can make music for grown-ups.
